The team at Solarglide have been working extremely hard over the summer to achieve two ISO standards.

But first, let us explain where ISO standards came from…

In 2015, the United Nations defined a 15 year plan to address some of the most pressing issues faced by the world.  The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent an ambitious plan from enhancing peace to protecting the planet. They are recognised globally as essential to the future sustainability of our world.  ISO has published more than 22,000 International Standards that represent globally recognised guidelines and frameworks based on an international collaboration.

What is ISO 9001:2015?

By definition: ISO 9001:2015 sets a global standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ensures their efficiency for products, services, and international supply chains.

What does this meant for our Clients?

The ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates to Client’s how we continually work on improvements within our processes to assure quality, efficiency and deliver customer satisfaction.  We undertake stringent measures to document, improve and execute processes within our business that accredited auditors then evaluate, in order to satisfy the requirements of the standard.  In layman’s terms, we have a process for everything relating to how our business operates and measures to prevent any mishaps.

More excitingly…

We have also achieved ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standard!

What is this?

By definition: ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.

What does this meant for our Clients?

The ISO 14001:2015 certification demonstrates to Client’s that we have set up an Environmental Management System (EMS) to conform with our established environmental policy and requirements.  In summary, we’re passionate about the environment, we choose to be proactive in our approach to operating as a business and one of our key goals is to reduce waste and continually develop environmentally friendly products.

We’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work in achieving these certifications, particularly Emma!
