Yacht Hatch and Roof Pleated Blinds

Dual and Single Pleated Blinds

Solarglide Yacht pleated hatch blinds are available as a manually operated multi-stop draw system, which can house a single pleated blind or a double pleated blind combination. The blind acts as a sun barrier, controlling incoming light and glare through overhead marine windows.

For a single yacht pleated blinds system, choose from either blackout fabrics or dim out fabrics with additional insect screen options. We offer nine blackout colours and nine dim out colours with an additional black insect fabric. All colours are shown in the Colour Collections section below. Alternatively, if you seek a double screen option, you can select a variation of insect fabric, blackout or dim out blind options. The same Flame retardant certification applies to all single and double screen options.

Solarglide Yacht pleated hatch blinds can be manufactured to any given size, however, there are maximum restrictions in place; the maximum width we can offer is 1200mm, and the maximum height is 2500mm. These restrictions are due to the universal width sizes of the pleated material.

Solarglide use a flame retardant honeycomb pleated technology for instant glare reduction to regulate thermal performance. The honeycomb technology eliminates visible strings and unsightly holes that would usually be seen within standard pleated blinds. Furthermore, the frame profiles are available in white or dark brown options.

Cruiseliners and Ferries Standard Pleated Hatch Blinds

Solarglide framed pleated blinds are an effective and sophisticated shading solution for non-navigational windows onboard cruise ships and ferries , including standard or hard to reach roof windows. They offer high levels of glass coverage for those windows where a roller blind or a curtain may not be appropriate. Designed solely for rectangular and square windows, this product offers a choice of blackout, dimout or insect screen materials in a single or double blind combination.

Yachts and Superyachts Standard Pleated Hatch Blinds

Hatch and roof windows are extremely common onboard yachts and superyachts;  so, it’s important that these windows are covered effectively to prevent prolonged glare and sunshine flooding into the interior space from above. Because such roof and hatch windows are often left open to regulate temperature and keep those inside cool, Solarglide pleated blinds can also act as a barrier against unwanted flies and insects. Designed solely for rectangular and square windows, this product offers a choice of blackout, dimout or insect screen materials in a single or double blind combination.
