Solarglide Ltd is a UK based designer, manufacturer and supplier of exceptional quality and innovative screens, blinds, wipers, curtains and window films for the maritime sector. Our products are trusted worldwide by leading cruise lines, naval vessels, yacht owners and commercial vessel operators.

“Our family’s association with the Maritime Sector goes back 4 generations, it is an industry we’re very passionate about. My ambition was to set-up a business in the North East, a region with a strong maritime history that continues this tradition by providing innovative window treatments that create comfortable and safe onboard environments for mariners, crew and passengers travelling the world’s oceans and waterways.”
– Paul Pringle, Managing Director
I oversee the company strategy, seek out opportunities for the business and manage product development and implementation.
In my free you’ll find me at HITT training, playing racket sports, gardening or learning German. I also like taking part in large sporting events including The Great North Run, half marathons and assault courses.
I’m chief Strategist for the company. (I also dabble in finance, technical, sales, table builder, toilet roll attacher, service, installation and all things commercial!)
Outside of work, I have an inherent love of cars and travel, DIY by necessity, and landscape gardening.
As the Creative Designer, I deal with all elements of design, from branding & identity to bespoke illustrations, I help bring the Solarglide brand to life.
I have had a passion for design since hanging my first piece of art on the fridge when I was 3. I enjoy painting, walking Ernie (my French Bulldog) and tattoos!
I’m responsible for making sure our customers receive their products when and where they need them along with managing warehouse operations.
Outside of work, I really enjoy the outdoors, exploring the countryside, and getting some photos along the way. I’d love to cross the Atlantic in a Nordhavn one day, it would be some adventure.
Marketing strategist or chief of colouring in as most people probably think when they hear marketing!
Outside the office you’ll find me in a dark room dancing to techno (or mixing it myself questionably at home), exploring Northumberland or somewhere warmer when the diary and wallet permits! You’ll occasionally find me labouring away on a squash or badminton court.
My role involves meticulous planning to ensure our customer’s large projects are completed in line with their build schedule.
Outside of work, I’m slightly obsessed with my dogs and horses, I love spending time with interesting people and trying new activities. I collaborate on intricate photography projects and I read A LOT! Particularly non-fiction to learn more.
My role consists of making sure all orders are processed and dispatched accordingly, as well as making sure things run smoothly in the office and for our customers.
Out of the office, you’ll find me binge watching the latest crime documentaries, looking to book my next holiday, or napping!
I deal with HR, Health and safety and compliance for the company, my job generally consists of keeping everyone out of trouble, happy, and safe!
I am an animal lover, and outside of work I’m a volunteer fosterer for Cats Protection, as well as having far too many animals of my own!
In a nutshell, my job includes selling our products and helping our customers with any queries they may have.
Outside of work, my interests include sports (rugby is a big one!), music (I play guitar badly), reading, and travelling.
